Going to college is a new life, where I am going get well prepared to face the “real world”. From my perspective, college is very expensive, and not just financially, it also costs my social life and health. I have to invest in transportation, pay for books, food, etc. Also there is a lot of stress going on, not getting enough sleep, and since sometimes there is not time to work out , if I do not eat healthy chances are I can get weight; Now, talking about social life, well… there are many things of which sometimes I have to say “No”, no parties, no more family time, no work out , or things like that, and all of this just because I feel like there is not enough time to study and do all these things at the same time. That is why, one of my goals is to learn how to manage my time, I think if I know how to manage it, college will be much easier.
College education is worth it, here is where I get to know myself better, what I like or dislike, what are my strengths and weaknesses, here is where I can find what I really like to do, In my case, Psychology is something that I really enjoy. I always think that if I like something and I enjoy doing it, for sure I will be very good at it. From my perspective, there is not better gift than to be a person with a lot of knowledge, wisdom and education, because at the end, whatever I choose, is something that probably I will do for the rest of my life. Another thing I find is very interesting, is that during college is where I will get the chance to know new people, with different backgrounds, perspectives and culture.
